Dr Fritz Schaeffer and Lt General Vincenz Mueller, Berlin

Nov. 11, 1958 - Schaeffer's view behind the iron curtain is eagerly discussed everywhere. After the Minister for justice affairs Dr. Fritz Schaeffer (L) explained on Wednesday, that he met on Oct. 20th 1956 the former Soviet ambassador in the Soviet zone of Germany Pushkin in East Berlin, the former deputy minister in defense affairs of East Germany and chief of the staff of the soviet zone people-army, lieutenant-General Vincenz Mueller (R) said on Friday, Nov. 14th during an interview with the Berlin Paper published in East-Berlin, he had discussed in June 1955 and also in October 1956 together with Dr. Schaeffer in East-Berlin about questions of reunion. Minister Schaeffer could not yet answer to this statement for he is travelling around for election propaganda, according to information which the Press Chief of the German Federal Republic, Felix Von Echhard, published for the German Press
