Dr Gerald Moore and pet parrot, Heathfield, Sussex
Royal Horse-Racing Box, Goes To Graze. Majestically surveying the scene across the lake, in Dr Gerald Moore's wild life park, in Heathfield, Sussex, is Her Majesty, Queen Victoria's Royal Box. This Royal Box has stood at Sandown Race course since her majesties days, but has now been bought by Dr Moore, Harley Street physician, for10, 000 and is now in the process of being re-assembled in the grounds of his Wild Life Park. This impressive Victorian edifice will be ornamented with Victorian furniture and bric-a-brac, and will function as a restaurant com museum to visitors. Dr Moore doesn't expect the box to be fit to receive visitors, not even commoners. until the spring. He is hoping to arrange an official opening ceremony, conducted by a member of the Royal family. Once again, it seems the binoculars will be raised from this highly honoured position, though the objective may be a passing duke rather than a horse. Dr Gerald Moore, accompanied by his Pat parrot, with his recently acquired Royal appendage in the background. With him are his groundsman, helping toract the Box, in it's new peacefull venue at Heathfield
