Jan. 09 Dr Goldmann warns his Jewish co-citizens Dr Nahum Goldmann the chairman of the Executive Committee for Jewish Restitution to Austria, upon invitation of the Austrian government, paid a visit to Vienna, and addressed an important speech to many prominent Vienna Jews. Many members of the Austrian government personally appeared and heard Dr Goldmann, who warned his fellow citizens not to fall into illusions to the effect that with the end of the Hitler regime, the Jewish persecution had come to an end. He added, Though the young Israel government works, and knowing that many of us have a home, we must not forget that many of us are still suffering under the oppression of some governments, especially from behind the Iron Curtain. Dr Goldmann who is simultaneously holding the position of chairman of the Jewish Agency said that he is convinced that Austria's politicians and statesmen are doing their best to find a genuine and real solution to the Jewish restitution problem.
