Dr Horst Schumann, Nazi doctor, on trial in Frankfurt
Feb. 02, 1971 - Frankfurt, Germany - The former President of Ghana, Dr Nkrumah, will be a witness in the trial against Nazi doctor HORST SCHUMANN (64) (R), who is charged with mass murder for his sterilisation experiments from 1943 - 1944 in Auschwitz concentration camp. Nkrumah was requested by Schumann's defence counsel Masche (L). Schumann worked in medicine in Ghana from 1961 until his extradition in 1966. The defence counsel thinks that Nkrumah will be able to confirm that Schumann has saved the lives of thousands of people
