Dr Jagan, deposed PM of British Guiana, returns, Georgetown

Feb. 02, 1954 - Deposed Prime Minister Of British Guiana Returns: Dr. Jagan the deposed Prime Minister of British Guiana and Mr. Burnham the deposed Education Minister returned to Georgetown recently from London. They had been away since last October when the Jagan Government was dismissed because their People's Progressive Party planned to organise a Communist State. At the request of the the Police the local papers did not mention that Jagan was returning - but Mrs. Jagan, Secretary of the party, distributed pamphlets calling on all followers to give them a great welcome.
