DS Edmund Murray, former bodyguard to Churchill
Apr. 14, 1965 - 14-4-65 The man who guarded Sir Winston goes painting on the Riviera For many many hours, detective sergeant Edmund Murray, Sir Winston Churchill bodyguard for fourteen years sat and watched the great man at all of his many pursuits, especially when he went painting on the Riviera. Now, ex-detective Sgt. Murray (51) now retired from Scotland Yard Special Branch has returned for an Easter Holiday to the Riviera to paint. He has much of the Churchill style in his work. Mr. Murray said that he just could not carry on in the service after the death of Sir Winston.
