1958 - Ducks and Drakes in the garden at No. 10, Downing Street; They've been playing ducks and drake at No.10, Downing Street - outside in the garden that is. It started when two mallard drakes and the duck flew into the Premier's garden from St. James Park. Then one of the drakes, flew back. Now the newly weds have settled down in a nest at the bottom of the garden. When Mr. Macmillan not railway and trade union chiefs on Tuesday to try and find a way to avoid the threatened transport strike returned to compliment by waddling up the steps of the Cabinet Room.
