Duke of Edinburgh at film premiere, Yangtse Incident

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh chatted to officers and men who took part in the film Yangtse Incident - after the premiere of the film at the Plaza cinema last night.. One of the man he spoke to was Chief Petty Officer Leonard Williams who was senior engine room artificier in the Amethyst - the hero ship of the film. He asked Williams what ship he was serving with now - and Williams replied In the Royal Yacht, Sir. I've been with her for three and a half years, Sir'.. the Duke looked surprised - and mumbled an apology.. (The Duke has just completed a long voyage aboard the Royal Yacht)..
