Duke of Edinburgh hears Welsh miners singing

1963 - Welsh Miners sing for the Duke: The Duke Edinburgh performed the ceremony of presenting a charter of Incorporation to the newly created Borough of Rhomida to the chairman of the council - Councillor Ivor Iris Jones - in Calligaled Park, yatrad, Rhonida, yesterday. Afterwards the duke paid a 1.5 hour visit to the underground workings of fernhill Colliery.
