Dec. 12, 1970 - Duke of Edinburgh visits the National Army Museum: This morning the Duke of Edinburgh visit the National Army Museum. The Museum founded by Royal Charter has been housed in temporary accommodation at the Royal Military Acedemy Sandhurst since it was opened by the Queen in 1960. The new building is adjacent to the Royal Hospital Chelsea and was completed in May of this year. Photo shows the Duke of Edinburgh looking at a model of the new National Army Museum, with him is Lord Holford who designed the new building
