Jul. 07, 1953 - The Queen goes form Goodwood races to watch the Duke play polo at Cowdray Park.: After attending the Goodwood race meeting this afternoon, H.M. the Queen went on to Cowdray Park to watch the Duke of Edinburgh take part in a polo match The Duke had flown back from Cranwell where, early today, e had attended a passing-out parade. Photo shows The Duke of Edinburgh mounts his pony between chukkers. The Duke was playing for Cowdray Park against Cotswold Park in the Quarter Finals of the Cowdray Park Junior Cup
