Feb. 02, 1958 - Prince Philip Visits Regent Street Polytechnic: Prince Philip - Duke of Edinburgh last night paid a visit to the Regent Street Polytechnic - where he saw some of the work produced by some of the 15, 000 students - 2, 000 of which are full time day students. The Polytechnic - opened 1882 is the largest institution to technical education in the country.
