Duke of Kent and Katherine Worsley engaged

Mar. 03, 1961 - Duke of Kent to wed in June: The 25-year old Duke of Kent, cousin of the Queen and eighth in succession is the throne, is to marry 28-year old miss Katherine Worsley, daughter of Sir William Worsley. Lord Lieutenant of the North Riding of Yorkshire. The wedding is to take place on June 8th, at York Minster. The couple first met four years ago when the Duke was with the Royal Scots Greys at Catterick.
