A E Stegmann works by mouth on Kathe Kollwitz sculpture
Feb. 02, 1957 - Kathe Kollwitz Sculpture Done By Mouth: Mr. A.E. Stegmann, who is well known in Germany and abroad as an artist-painter who works by mouth, has switched to modelling and has created a sculpture. Stagmann, who holds his tools with his teeth, has almost completed the portrait of Kathe Kollwitz. The sculpture is made of wax and will later be moulded in bronze. Stegmann's both arms are paralysed after a severe attack of poliomyelitis when he was two years old. On March 20th a meeting will take place at Vaduo, Liechtenstein of all artists who work by mouth or by feet. Photo shows.
