Victoria, then twenty-four, had the picture painted in secret during the third year of her marriage, and presented it to her husband as a gift. Now the portrait, which has been hanging in Windsor Castle, is to be displayed in an exhibition in two months to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The exhibition, at the Royal Academy in London, will feature about 100 Victorian paintings from royal collections
