Eberhard Schoener to direct Deep Purple in Munich

Jan. 01, 1972 - Eberhard Schoener Directs Deep Purple In Munich In March: Eberhard Schoener is a well known director for Classical music-fans. Lately he became famous with music to Johannes Schaaf's film Trotta'. Next month Schoener will direct the famous British rock band Deep Purple who will come to Munich for the European Premiere of Gemini Suite by John Lord. The Premiere was supposed to take place in January, but Eberhard Schoener injured his arm, so the piece had to be postponed. The 35 year old musician will also appear in the official Olympic culture programme: he directs the Opera Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, in which the best singers of the world will appear. Schoener's newest LPs: A Day's Lullaby (electric - pop) and Destruction of Harmony (Bach/Vilnius-electronic)
