Eddie Chapman, spy and criminal
Feb. 13, 1967 - Rome, Italy - EDDIE CHAPMAN (1914-1997) was an habitual criminal who became a British double agent (code named ZigZag) during World War II. He was in prison for theft in the Channel Islands when they were occupied by the Germans, who recruited him as an agent. Chapman provided disinformation to the Germans.
