Jun. 20, 1970 - Woman with a child throws a pot of paint at Mr. Heath in Downing Street: As Mr. Edward Heath, Britain's new Prime Minister returned to No. 10 Downing Street after lunching at the St. James Club today, a woman with a child darted from the crowd and threw a small pot of red paint at Mr. Heath. She was immediately arrested and escorted away by the police. Photo shows Mr. Heath ducking as the red paint, thrown by the woman spattered his suit in Downing Street today. Said Mr. Heath That was a stupid thing to do, wasn't it
