Feb. 02, 1968 - Yolk Dancing-How The Egg Marketing Board Hope To Sell More Of Their Product: They were having an egg week in Hull and somebody said they ought to have an egg dance. Nobody had a better idea, so they danced around eggs. They got some members of the local scout group, men in their middle twenties, blindfolded them and had them dancing around eggs. They wore breeches and white frilly ruffa round their necks and they danced round the eggs and audiences applauded them when they performed at the Albert Hall in London last night. Robin Boot who is 24, and in real life is a Hull insurance clerk, and is one of the egg dancers said last night after their performance at the Albert Hall that Apparently the egg dance was very popular in Elizabeth times.
