May 05, 1978 - Granny Marries a 17 Year Old. 39 year old Eileen Alford, Mother of eight and grandmother of two has married 17 year old Graham Drew in a runaway wedding in Scotland. Twice divorced Eileen has known Graham since he was a little boy and was very friendly with his mother as she lived next door. The romance started last November when Graham, then 16, jilted his girlfriend in favour of Eileen. He then moved into her council home in the village of Uffculme early this year. Graham Proposed. And although his mother refused permission for the wedding the couple hitch-hiked the 650 miles to Dundee last week for the civil ceremony. At her nearby home his mother Mrs Ethel Drew said: It's a mockery of a marriage, I don't give it six months.
