Election demonstration in Sports Palace, Berlin, Germany
Nov. 11, 1958 - West Berlin police had to protect SED election demonstration: The West Berlin people demonstrated in front of the Sports Palace in Berlin against the Khrushchev explanations while the East-Berlin SED (Social unit party of Germany) had an election demonstration on Nov. 13th inside the sports palace. Many thousands of west Berlin people closed the streets round the sports palace so the police had to use rubber sticks to protect the election demonstration.
