Elevate of Eastfield pedigree bull, world record price paid

1959 - World Record Price for Pedigree Bull. 25, 000 Guineas for Elevate of Eastfield'. All British pedigree records were broken at the sale of Aberdeen Angus bulls at Perth, Scotland, Auction Mart yesterday, when the supreme and senior champion Elevate of Eastfield was sold for 25, 000 guineas, a British record for a bull of any breed. The bull was bred by Mr. T H Brewis, of Kelso, and bought by Mr. Lester Leachman, of Ankony Farms, Rheinback, New York. Photo Shows: The American contingent grouped around the prize bull, yesterday.
