Enoch Powell - the minister who may resign: prime minister Harold Macmillan held a cabinet meeting at admiralty house again this morning the second in two days It was the original intention for the cabinet to return to routine business - but such hopes were abandoned - as it became increasingly apparent that MR. Enoch Powell the health minister was on the brink of resignation. The big question now is whether or not - Mr. Powell would himself resign - or would he force the prime minister to resign. The Prime minister appears to have no intention of resigning. MR. Powell refused to comment - after the meeting this morning. photo shows MR.
