1947 - Milch Gaoled For Life: Field Marshal Erhard Milch, former Nazi Under-Secretary of State for Air, has been found guilty at Nuremberg of war crimes, and sentenced to imprisonment for life. Milch, former assistant to Goering at the German Air Ministry, was convicted of deporting people for slave labour and being responsible for the murder of prisoners.
