Jan. 01, 1972 - Violinist Erich Gruenberg Rehearses for first Appearance with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.: The distinguished violinist Erich Gruenberg makes his first appearance with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as leader, at The Royal Festival Hall, London, tomorrow (Jan 25). The concert is a complete sell out, all the hall's 2, 909 seats being taken up a fortnight before the concert takes place. Erich Gruenberg and the orchestra were rehearsing today at the Bishopsgate Institute. Erich Gruenberg was born in Vienna and came to settle in this country after the Second World War, when he was 22.
