Feb. 02, 1969 - Swiss writer from prison in Vienna to prison in Switzerland: Swiss writer Erich von Daeniken, aged 34, author of worldwide bestseller Remembering the future was extradited to Switzerland by Austrian police today. He had been arrested at the request of Interpol last November for fraud of some thousand Swiss francs (whilst by his book meanwhile he became a millionaire) and spent three months in prison at Vienna.
