Jan. 01, 1950 - Havana, Cuba - World-renowned writer ERNEST HEMINGWAY born on 21st July 1899 in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago. At the age of 17 Hemingway published his first literary work. Winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. He died aged 61, of self inflicted gun shot wound.
