Jan. 01, 1953 - British intelligence authorities open inquiries into Nazi beer cellar activities.: British Intelligence officers in Berlin have opened inquiries into the activities of a Neo-Nazi group which has held violent back to the 1, 000 year Reich meetings in the shadows of British Military Headquarters in Berlin. Sir Ivone Kirkpatrick, the West German High Commissioner, has asked for a confidential report on the Nazi group. The National Europe Movement is led by Erwin Schonborn who is said to be a friend of Werner Naumann, arrested with six others in Western Germany last week. Schonborn is under observation.
