Jul. 05, 1954 - Vladimir Petrov attends third hearing of royal commission on Espionage in Australia: Vladimir Mikhailovitch Petrov - the former Third Secretary at the Soviet Embassy in Melbourne - recently made his first appearance in public since he and his wife were granted political asylum in Australian - when he gave evidence before the royal commission on Espionage which is being held at the High Court of Australian - in Melbourne. Petrov and his wife both made many disclosures regarding the Soviet Espionage system throughout the world.
