Jun. 06, 1957 - Three Britons Jailed And Five Acquitted In Cairo Spy Trial: Three Britons were given jail terms and five others acquitted, in the Cairo spy trial today. The Cairo Criminal Court also pasced sentences ranging from three years to life imprisonment on nine Egyptians, and acuitted a tenth.
