Feb. 29 FOR THE CORONATION CEREMONY AND AFTER - These evening gowns are the type that will be worn by some peeresses attending the Coronation in Westminster Abbey and at state balls, dances and festivities held throughout Britain during Coronation week. The fabric of Coronation gowns will include pure silk and rayon slipper satins, wafer-thin brocades in rayon and silk, nem organ and brocaded, colours will be very subtle, including a pale shrimp pink, aqueous blue, pale erre, irridescent pink and shining white. Pictures show (L) gown in white and silver brocade with white satin, with the new portrait neckline, a style that will be worn under their robes by many peeresses attending the Coronation ceremony. From the collection of Arthur Bake of London (R) ball gown of green rayon satin by Michael Sherard, a member of the Incorporated Society of London Fashion Designers.
