Exercise during Duke of Edinburgh visit to Germany
Mar. 19, 1953 - The Duke of Edinburgh, on the first full day of his visit to the British Zone of Germany, yesterday fired the 20 pounder gun of a 50 ton Centurion tank during field firing of the 6th. Armoured Division at Hohne ranges. He scored a direct hit at 1, 000 yards, and demolished the target.
