Jun. 06, 1958 - Sir John Hunt Leads Expedition to Climb in the Causasus. Discussing Boots: The Royal Geographical Society Expedition which is to climb in the Causasian mountains - left London this morning. The party is led by Sir John Hunt and includes Olympic athlete Chris Brasher. It took four years for Russia's permission to be obtained for the Caucasus expedition. Photo shows Sir John Hunt and Chris Brasher discuss boots - to be used in the expedition- when the party left the Society H.Q. in Kensington today
