Expeditions - Explorers

Jan. 10 Sailing six years and one day around the world: After six years sailing around the world the Markworths fixed their yacht Siga'j at it's old place in the Olympic-harbour in front of Dusternbrook near Kiel/West-Germany. They are returned once again, the family Markworth, greeted by a crowd of people, from boats of the SC baltic, from flares sent to sky and from the Sailing School-Ship Gorch Fock with it's deep foghorn. Their long trip last 38000 am and they touched 25 countries. New Zealand for example in which their now-a-days 2 years old daughter Moana is born. The 9, 5m long boat is builtet by Mr. Markworth himself and in the six years it is proved good. After six years absence the family must search now a new domicile and new labourt for Mr. Markworth. Some sailors think the costs for a circum-navigation of the globe costs 2000 DM per month other speak from one dollar per day, in some place in the middle said Dieter Markwoth, who is eager to see how expensive the life ashore now is
