Feb. 25 Two ancient Egyptian cemeteries unearthed.: Two Pharaonic Cemeteries near Kom Ombo Temple Upper Egypt, have recently bnn unearthed. They were found comprising some 250 graves of a number of ancient Egyptian Deities. Digging work started since the year 1965. Among the graves unearthed were six of sacred Alligators which was the deity of Kom Omb Temple. Sharing this sacred Alligator was the sacred Vulture who was also worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. An alligator egg was discovered in these cemeteries as well as a number of the sacred snake and also some mummified Deers. The Kom Ombo Temple dates back to the year 200 B.C. Photo shows a splendid coffin cover with a thin layer of gold and decorated with fine engravings
