Dec. 26 Sir John Hunt Will Climb Russia's Everest: Summit Talks on Communism Peak Sir John Hunt and a party of British climbers leave London by air on Saturday for an attempt on Russia's Everest Communism Peak, 24, 590ft. in the Pamir range of Central Asia. Only Iron Curtain climbers have been allowed to do so. Six Soviet climbers will join his team, which includes two men who were with him on the Everest conquest.
