Oct. 10, 1971 - Yvette Vaucher, First Woman to attack the Mount Everest. I think it is the greatest adventure in my live commented Yvette Vaucher her forthcoming expedition to the highest mountain of the earth, the Mount Everest. She will be the first woman to try to climb so high. She takes part at the Himalaya Expedition 1971 with her husband as the Swiss representatives of a team of 30 Alpinist from 14 countries, directed by the famous U.S. Alpinist Norman G. Dyrenfurth.
