Famous People's Families

Mar. 03, 1953 - At the anniversary of Guenther Prien's death on March 6th. It is 12 years since the German U-boat commander Guenther Prien, the Hero of Seapa Flow sank with his crew when attacking a convoy. Because of his great navigating knowledge Prien was also highly esteemed by our then enemies. Our pictures show (above) pieces of remembrance of Guenther Prien - and (below) Guenther Prien's widow with her two daughters. One German group of film-producers represented by Sonja Ziemann and her husband Rudolf Hambach intends to make a film about the life of Guenther Prien which is surrounded by many legends. Mrs. Sturm-Prien asked for the right to be asked about her opinion regarding the scenario. The movie-people, however, do not want to agree to that. It is possible that there will be a lawsuit about the matter
