Aug. 08, 1955 - Elder Brother Of Dalai Iama Finds A Home In America: Denpa Rabshe Tag Tsee, elder brother of Dalai Iama, has been granted a visa for permanent residence in the United States after five years since his flight from Tibet under Chinese Communist prosecution. The 33-year-old Tibetan, the highest religious leader of now-Communist-controlled Tibet, is shortly leaving Tokyo for the U.S. to engage in research work while teaching-Tibetan at Harvard University. He has been residing in Japan since 1958 after touring India and America and he is one of nearly 100 refugees in Japan who have received visas to live in the United States under terms of the Refugee Relief Act. His entry into the U.S. is being sponsored by Church World Service, an organ of the World Council of Churches.
