May 05, 1966 - Surtees back among the records: Racing driver John Surtees is back among the records he proved it yestercday at Silverstone. Unofficially he smashed the lap record in his new three litre Ferrari with a lap of 117. 08 mph. (The record was later beaten by the massive six - litre Lola of Denis Hulme with 120 mph). There to watch him was his wife, . Pat, clocking the laps. She will be there tomorrow, too, when Surtees really has to go for the Daily Express Trophy.
