Apr. 12, 1970 - The Dalai Lama's niece comes to England to take up child care courses: The Dalai Lama's niece, Miss Diki Dolkar, 20, who fled Tibet with her uncle in 1959 from the invading Chinese Army, has come to England as a trainee nurse. The Save the Children Fund have arranged for Miss Dolkar to take child care courses before returning to the Dalai Lama's community in exile in the Himalayas.
