Jan. 01, 1972 - I wasn't driving, says Sir Gerald; Sir Gerald Nabarro, Conservative MP for South Worcestershire, described two motorists as common informers after they had complained to the police about his driving in his Daimler NAB 1, it was claimed at Winchester Crown Court yesterday. Mr. John Spokes, prosecuting, said that Sir Gerald forced two motorists off the road and on to the verge while overtaking a line of cars in face of oncoming traffic. The prosecution says Sir Gerald was driving. He says he was not, That is the issue. Sir Gerald, of Orchar House, Broadway, Worcestershire, pleaded not guilty to driving dangerously on the A36 near Totton, Hants, last May.
