Farmer isolated by flood waters, Dalbreck, Strachan

Nov. 11, 1954 - Gales lash coast. Rivers overflow. Traffic disrupted. Widespread flooding in town and country, road and rail disrupted, mountainous seas running off the coast were the several effects of a sixteen hour rainstorm which swept the North of Scotland yesterday. The road leading to the farm of Dalbreck, Strachan, from the bridge over the feugh, disappeared under the flood waters from the river, isolating the farmer, J. Ross
