Father of the Arriflex, August Arnold
Nov 23, 1961; Munich, Germany; Engineer AUGUST ARNOLD received on Nov. 23rd the title of an honorary doctor of the School of Technology of Munich. The now 63 years old pioneer of the German film technique has brought his constructions from very small beginnings to international importance. Since the thirties, there has been no camera for news used so much as the Arriflex as the best, easiest and most useful camera, always being improved again by Arnold.
