Apr. 22, 1953 - Seven Arrive From Korea. Father Thomas Quinlan has a Cheerful Wave. The Seven men who had been interned by the North Koreans for two years and eight months landed at the RAF Station, Abingdon, Wiltshire this afternoon aboard an RAF Hastings Ambulance aircraft in which they had flown from Moscow. They travelled from Korea across Manchuria and Siberia by train. The seven are Mr. Norman Owen of the British Legation Seoul; Capt. Vvyan Holt, former British Minister at Seoul; Mr. Philip Deane war reporter; Father Thomas Quinlan the Irish Missionary, Herbert Lord of the Salvation Army; Bishop Alfred Cooper an Anglican missionary and Mr. George Blake, British Vice Consul at Seoul.
