Fauve-Expressionists exhibition
Mar. 03, 1966 - Fauve - Expressionists': that is the name of the German-French exhibition that will be opened on the 26th of March at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. Organizers are the Musee Nationale d'Art Moderne in Paris and the exhibition administration at Haus der Kunst. The exhibition shows the comparison between the fauvish masterpieces by French artist and the paintings by German expressionists of same country. This is the first representative exhibition of this kind in Munich. There are all together 269 paintings, one half from Germany and the other from France. Famous painters from France are Braque, Matisse, Kees van Dongen, Derain, Viaminck, Ohton Friesz, Charles Camoin, Raoul Dufy, Albert Marquet and from Germany the painters from the Brucke'. and Nolce, Rohifa, Jawlensky, Mare, Mcke, Pechatein, Kanoldt and Kandinsky. After the exhibition was opened in Paris it had a great success and one also counts with great success here in Munich.
