Nov. 11, 1952 - Youth of 19 charged with murder of P.C. detective Frederick Fairfax wounded. Nineteen year old Derek William Bentley of no fixed address - was today at croydon magistrates court - charged with the murder of P.C. Sidney miles of the metropolitan police, Also implanted id 16 year old Christopher Craig who is in croydo hospital suffering from broken limbs after a fall. Miles raiding a warehouse in Croydon lady night, Detective frederik Fairfax who was with him was shoe in the shoulder. photo shows Detective Frederick Fairfax leaves his Sheldon home today
