Dec. 12, 1956 - I.R.A Outrages in Northern Ireland.. Police and Irish Republican Army invaders fought gun battles-bombs were hurled at barrack and bridges and a B.B.C station was blown up in raids in Northern Ireland recently. The raids were carried out in several places by armed gunmen using fire-bombs and explosives. At Londonderry the B.B.C's relay transmition station was wrecked by explosives planted in the main control room. Photo shows Police stop a car and question the occupants on the portrush Road-after the attacks
