Nov. 11, 1958 - 110 firework rioters arrested in London. Trafalgar square battle with police: More than 90 youths and girls were arrested last night after a Guy Fawkes riot in Trafalgar Square, when screaming teenagers, Teddy Boys, and students, defied a ban on fireworks. Police with linked arms cleared the Square, while mounted men, riding stirrup to stirrup, advanced down Northumberland Avenue, forcing the shrieking crowd on the Embankment. Bangers were thrown under the horses and police frog marched the arrested people of. Ten injured persons were treated in hospital.
