Jun. 23, 1958 - American Policemen learn how to handle dogs. Will take them back to the states of Combat crime: Five policemen from the United States - all senior officers representing New York and other big cities are now in this country - to learn about dog handling. So far in the United States the police use an effective radio system - machine guns - tear gas etc. in their battles against crime - but dogs are seldom - if ever used. The men went to the police kennels at West Wickham today to see how the dogs are trained. Photo shows Walter Zeifer, who comes from St.Louis, Missouri - with Rebel the Alsatian which has been allocated to him - at the kennels this morning
